The Best Recipe Resources: Where to Find Recipes that Rock

Categories Food

Well hello there friends. I hope you’re enjoying the first week into the new year. Anyone taking bets on how long it will take them to remember to write 2017 instead 0f 2016? I’m guessing at least a month for myself. I went to write the date in on something yesterday and stood in shock for a few seconds. I couldn’t comprehend how time was moving so quickly. Crazy!

Now, I know in the last several years, Pinterest has taken over our lives for finding solutions to things. We see recipe upon recipe being splashed out with photos done by professionals. The idea of the pinterest fail has created many memes as we stand in solidarity of our failed creations. But today I wanted to talk about a few of my favorite places to get recipes that don’t fail. Time and time again I try recipes from these sources and enjoy them on the first round. So let’s get started.

1. Jamie Oliver – If you don’t know who Jamie is, he is a English chef with a passion for food and health. He has made it his goal to fight for the future of children’s health in regards to how they are being fed. His recipes are wonderful. It never fails that when I make something of his it’s a hit for my whole house, which is saying a lot. Here are a few of my favorites from him:

Courgette Spaghetti (modified w/out prawns and cheese)

Roasted root vegetable & squash stew w/ herby couscous

2. Minimalist Baker – Run by Dana and her husband John, Minimalist Baker is a most plant based site. With recipes varying from decadent cakes to savory meals, it never fails that you’ll find something you love from these two. A few of my favorites:

1 Bowl Chocolate Hazelnut Cake (the official birthday cake in my house)

White Bean Kale Salad (if you follow me on insta, you’ll know I made this for dinner the other night. perfection!)

3. Oh She Glows – Angela has a beautiful story of coming to learn to love and accept her body by nourishing it with plant based food. Oh She Glows is site that features plant based, gluten free, soy free and many other recipes. Angela is also great about noting tips for swaps or things not to do. Recipes I love:

Crisp Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (I have never been much of a cookie person but if I could only have one dessert for the rest            of my life, this would be it. They are just that good!)

Classic Green Monster (The perfect smoothie for people who are trying to get into Green smoothies. One of my first faves and classic                breakfast staples.)

These are just a few of my fave places to grab a show stopping recipe but they always hit the mark. What are some of your favorite places to find dinner inspiration? Leave me a note below and let me know.

Have a wonderful day!

Xoxo,

Savannah
