Finding New Favorites In November

Categories Christmas, Life

My oh my, it’s been a busy month. From adventures in Birmingham and Atlanta to Thanksgiving with my mom, it’s been a month filled with lots of travel and new memories. So instead of only sharing my favorite items, today I wanted to share some of my favorite memories as well. Here’s to finding new favorites and making new memories!

Exploring Birmingham

I spent 4 years of college and a little extra time living in Alabama. I found small local places I loved and always enjoy seeing my friends when I’m in town. But this time there was a good group of us together. We spent the weekend eating, going on random adventures and just genuinely laughing together. It was lovely to meet my sister’s partner, explore parts of the city I’ve never been and just get to enjoy a glass of wine with friends. It’s definitely something I don’t do often enough and hope do more in the future.

Friendsgiving

My first year officially working in film we started Friendsgiving. I was the only one of us with an apartment at the time and it wasn’t too large so it was a small group. This year we got back to that and had a blast. With holiday parties galore and our group being notorious for constantly traveling, it’s a small miracle to get us all in the same room at the same time. We ate amazing food, laughed at the ridiculous situations we seem to get ourselves in and just generally enjoyed being together. It’s a holiday tradition I treasure.

YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Baby Doll Mascara

I wish I could say I have a good reason for waiting so long to try this mascara. I don’t and I regret that I waited. Oh my goodness, I’m obsessed. I have fairly decent lashes. But because of my blonde hair, they tend to lighten towards the ends. Mascara is the thing that makes me look alive. Lately I’ve been underwhelmed by the options I’ve used. Yes, I was in to lash paradise for a minute but I also think it was contributing to my watery eye situation so that had to go. Then I snagged another new mascara to try but it was just eh. But this YSL treasure has revived my love of mascara and I can’t sing its praises enough. If you’re looking for something that gives your lashes length and brings your eyes alive, please try this. You won’t regret it.

Clarins Double Serum

If you saw my recent video with my updated skincare, you’ll know this serum wasn’t in it. I’d ordered it before I filmed and it came in right after I uploaded. When I was in Jacksonville in September, I snagged a sample of this from Nordstrom and fell in love. It’s perfect to use day and night so I love that I can down size my skincare when I travel but not lose quality. There’s two different size pump options if you only need a tiny amount to top off your face. I’ve been taking my skincare very intensely the last few months with my journey to heal my acne and serum is a place I will invest. This one hydrates and helps with aging. I may be young but it’s never too early to start taking care of your skin. Plus, when the lady at the YSL counter told me I had nice skin, my inner Lizzie McGuire animated character was probably dancing. Gotta get that glow!

Bose Quietcomfort Wireless Headphones

Add this to the list of things I’ve been raving about this month and probably won’t stop. Seriously, they are my working from home lifesaver. Actually, they are my working from anywhere that has people lifesaver. I mentioned them in my Gifts Worth The Price post but I’ll sing their praises again. They have made working on the go so much easier. The ability to cancel out sound helps get me in the zone and I am so much more productive. If you travel regularly or just need to be able to tune the world out, I’d highly recommend investing in these. They were worth every penny.

All the Christmasy Vibes

Is it just me or do are we skipping over holidays these days? First, I thought it was just all the British youtubers I follow embracing Christmas early. I mean they don’t have thanksgiving so why wouldn’t they. But then all my American girls were jumping in and before I knew it I was falling into the Christmasy vibes. Part of this is because I’ve been prepping Christmas content so it helps to set the mood. Whatever the case may be, I’m all abroad the Christmas train. Out went the pumpkins and in came my red, pink and gold decor. I even snagged a mini Christmas tree from Target. Christmas is coming y’all.
