Do you remember the first time you had coffee? And let’s be real, for most of us it was mostly cream, sugar and like a splash of coffee. If I’m honest, my chocolate milk had more color than my “coffee” as a kid. Thankfully, I am older and wiser now (I hope) and my coffee is bit fancier & necessary. Like I’m a much nicer person if you let me sip my coffee in peace. K thanks.
But in my aging wisdom, I’ve also learned that while I love the classics (an iced vanilla latte, iced mocha latte & iced chai latte) my body and hormones can’t quite handle the sugar. So I went on the hunt to replace all my favorite coffee shop drinks with healthy alternatives! And today, we’re going for the most popular option amongst my friends and family. Sugar free iced vanilla latte that’s keto, paleo and vegan friendly? Yes please!
The key to this recipe and most latte recipes is the syrup. Finding an iced vanilla latte syrup that is stevia sweetened but not like a stevia dropper is a challenge. NuNaturals syrup is a fabulous healthier option. Plus, you can’t screw this recipe up. Syrup + coffee + milk + stirring = a latte. Bam!
Depending on what we have on hand (leftover Chemex coffee or Nespresso pods), I’ll switch it up. But most often, I’ve been enjoying this with my lunch as a little sweet treat. Decaf of course because I like sleep (see: 8 tips to help you sleep better).
If you decide to try the recipe, be sure to tag me on instagram! I love seeing what you babes are making. Seriously, words of affirmation is my love language so it fills my cup to see that our little community it growing & thriving! Wherever you are in the word, I hope you’re safe, healthy and enjoying a moment of calm. Sending you all the love and positive vibes. Xoxo, Savvy

*there are lots of sugar free syrups on the market but I prefer NuNaturals. It doesn't have any of the inflammatory fake sugars. It's also stevia based so it won't spike your blood sugar!
**If you want keep your coffee/latte extra strong, turn you leftover coffee into iced cubes and add it in. I love this ice tray for making cubes.
