Tis the summer season for everyone’s favorite annual sale. That’s right friends, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost upon us – 2023 edition. And from what I’ve managed to get a sneak peak of, this year promises to be one of the best yet! So to get you prepared to make the most of the sale, we’re starting with today’s guide.
Everything like the new brands that are launching, how to make the most of the sale, how to get in early and the deals that are just too good to pass up. It’s going to be an epic one so be sure you’re signed up for the newsletter so get you don’t miss a thing.
When is the sale?
The digital catalog and sale wishlist opens on July 3rd. All sale times are starting at midnight EST this year to make it easier for everyone to remember.
Early access will run from July 11 – July 16 with the following access levels getting to shop first:
Icon 7/11
Ambassador 7/12
Influencer July 13
The sale will be opened to the public on July 17 and run through August 6th. Prices will increase again on August 7th.
What brands are in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year?
New to the sale this year: Allbirds, Birkenstock, Cotopaxi, Dyson Hair Care, Larroudé, Le Creuset, Our Place, Parachute, and more.
Additionally, you can expect to see items from brands like Open Edit, Sam Edelman, Reiss, Halogen, Good American, Vince, Floret Studios, Levi’s, Veronica Beard, Rag & Bone, Treasure & Bond, Madewell and so many more. There will also be luxury beauty brands like Augustinus Bader, YSL, Westman Atelier, etc. The Nordstrom team does an amazing job each year at taking feedback to make next year even better. And this year’s line up is no exception.
Is it better to shop online or in store?
It’s far easier to get your hands on things online because you’ll know if they come back in stock much sooner. Midsize gals know that it’s much easier to shop when you can see the look on the model. Plus, you can pop things from wishlist to cart in an instant. I’ve seen the suggestion from a fellow influencer to set an alarm early for first day you’re able to shop, snag your things and go back to bed. And to be honest, I 100% agree. There are some incredible coats this year that will sell out fast. So if you’ve got your eye on it, get in early.
Can I still get an item if it’s sold out?
The Nordstrom team heavily emphasized using both the wishlist and downloading the app with notifications to help make sure you snag any items that sell out and restock during the sale. It’s quite common for things to randomly pop back in stock as items get returned through the sale. But if you want to make sure you have your best chance, adding things to your wishlist as well as turning on notifications will help.
How To Make The Most Of The Anniversary Sale?
Firstly, sign up for the WSS newsletter. I’ll be curating a midsize shopping guide as well as giving you heads up on sales for any special drops. Secondly, save things to your wishlist even if it is out of stock. Last year the Nordstrom team was adamant that this is the way you can find out when things coming back in as they tend to do throughout the sale.
How To Get Early Access?
Nordy Reward Members who spend $500 automatically move to Influencer status. Not the Instagram kind but the kind that gets you in the door 4 days before the general public. This is also available by signing up for a Nordstrom Credit Card.
Card members get bonus point days, free basic alternations and priority access to style events. Plus you’ll earn double the points per dollar spent.
What’s the best part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year going to be?
I got a snail mail catalog peek this year and I’m really eyeing up a few things. You’ll see a look at the bottom of today’s post. But I’m very impressed with the beauty selection of the sale this year which launches July 17. The coat and shoe selection has some unique pieces I’m definitely wanting for fall/winter 2023. And the home items have me excited!
What are the best things to buy during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
I’m a big fan of buying fall items, staple pieces, candles, that extra present just in case. There’s often deals on large quantity beauty items – so things you might already use just in a bigger bottle.
There’s also quite a few pieces in the jewelry department that always seem to catch my eye. From cubic zirconia studs to my go to ring, I’ll be doing a round up on WSS so stay tuned!
Can You Return Things From The Nordstrom Sale?
Yes, Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns.
Is there another way to get Nordstrom Rewards?
There is a traditional reward system that just requires your phone number. It’s free for everyone and easy to use. Plus, it allows you to earn points towards Nordstrom notes (aka their cash reward system).
Anything else?
I’ll be honest – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is all in what you make it. There have been a few years where it hasn’t felt worth it. But at the same time, there are always good deals. If you’re a trend shopper, Topshop always seems to have great options and will be back apart of the sale this year.
If you’re a classics gal, like me, there are always good finds. I bought a sweater dress last year that I’m still obsessed with. Plus, the PJs are always a good find. From what I’ve gathered about this year, I think it’s going to be the best year yet. The Nordstrom team has really made an effort to take feedback and learn how to make the sale work for everyone.
But I’d love to know what you’re most excited about with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year. What are you shopping for or hoping to find? Let me know in the comments below and I’ll be sure to keep an extra eye out for it.
I’ll be adding my wishlist to the blog once the preview is live as well as sharing updates on Instagram so be sure to come follow along. Until next time. Xoxo, Savvy
