Single On Valentine’s Day: Tips for Self-Love and Happiness
LISTEN: APPLE PODCASTS | SPOTIFY | STITCHER
Happy Almost Galentine’s Day babes! I know how challenging this particular Hallmark holiday can be for some. Whether it’s a reminder of something you haven’t quite gotten in your life or maybe you’re rocking your first VD single in a while, I hope that today’s episode will help you find the light in the space you’re in. Being single on Valentine’s Day can be the beginning of everything amazing that’s about to happen in your life.
Set Yourself Up For The Best Relationship Ever
If you’re single on Valentine’s Day, you have the golden opportunity to get to know yourself INCREDIBLY well. You can use this time to identify why past relationships have worked for you, why they haven’t, what patterns you keep repeating, and WHY YOU KEEP MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES. And once you figure those out, you can make space in your life to HEAL. You can start diving into breaking those patterns, adding new acquittances and making sure you’re becoming the person that your person is looking for.
Get Outside Of Your Bubble
Now if there’s anything I’ve learned that there is certain in life is that we don’t know what we don’t know. We are limited to the things we’ve learned, experienced or heard about. So if you are always staying in your bubble, how will you ever know that this AMAZING person exists? Or even better, how will you know that THIS ONE HABIT is a deal breaker in a relationship for you. We don’t know what we don’t know.
Until I spent time with friends who had kids and got to watch them co-parent, I had NO clue how important having a partner who was willing to pull his half of everything would be to me. I also didn’t realize that it was probably something I would have to ask for because while we want everything to change, we also have to acknowledge that everyone comes into a relationship with certain ideals, behaviors and mindsets. Get out of your bubble. I promise that whether you’re only single on Valentine’s Day or for the next few years, you’ll be thankful you did.
