There’s something about Taylor Swift that seems to bring out everyone’s opinion. Some really love her, other passionately hate her and then there’s everyone who falls into the area of eh? They could go either way. But with so many media debacles over the years, it’s hard not to be at least curious about her life. Thankfully, we now have Miss Americana aka the Taylor Swift documentary.

So for today’s episode, I wanted to ground someone that for many seems so far out of reach. It’s easy to draw a line in the sand when it comes to her incredible strong fan base or large bank account. Jealousy abounds for many! And yet there are so many similarities in our own lives.

How the Taylor Swift Documentary Reflects Our Own Struggles

Failure, building a your self worth & happiness based on approval, dealing with other’s insecurities, being felt like you couldn’t make choices because the fear of those around you was so strong. . . those moments transcend just one person. Which is why today’s episode is more of a side by side look at the ways you’re probably more like Taylor Swift than you realize.

Do you fly on private jets? Maybe. Do people creepily come sleep in your bed and stalk you? I hope not. Do you feel hurt when someone hurts you? Most likely. When you strip back the “Taylor Swift” aspect of it all and look at the human story, her life probably looks more similar to yours than you realize.

Today’s episode is one I hope you’ll enjoy as much as I enjoyed recording it! When I sat down to watch the Taylor Swift documentary, I never expected that I would come out seeing the ways that are so relatable to who I am today and what I feel like we as women often struggle with. The beauty of art is that it gives us a mirror into our own lives that we may have never known we needed.
