There’s just something about autumn that makes me want to be cozy and enjoy all the pumpkin things. From pumpkin spice to pumpkin candles, I’ve been in love with everything pumpkin for as long as I can remember. But this fall is different. I’ve had to find other ways to enjoy my pumpkin minus the cinnamon. I’ve been looking for all the ways to enjoy pumpkin without the spice.
Now maybe you’re someone who is obsessed with pumpkin spice. If so, have a latte for me would you? I miss them. Or maybe pumpkin is a scent that reminds you of a favorite family memory. However, you like to enjoy pumpkin, today I’m rounding up my favorite ways I’m indulging this fall. No pumpkin is too small and no candle is unloved. I’m here for everything pumpkin this season!
Decor
This is probably the easiest way to sneak pumpkin into your life but it’s the gift that keeps on giving. From sparkly pumpkins to tiny ones I can stash anywhere, I love adding in autumnal decor with pumpkins. From mid-September until the end of November, you’ll find a range of pumpkins in my home. They just bring me joy. Plus, I can reuse it year after year.
If you’re looking to invest in your own, I know that Pottery Barn* had quite a section when we went last week. You can find glass pumpkins, glitter pumpkins and even the tiny ones your see below. I’ve been gradually building my collection each year. I see it as an interior investment.
Candles
Every year I find that the first thing I look for when I’m bringing out my autumn side is a pumpkin candle. I burn candles year round but adding a pumpkin scent into rotation is my way of welcoming fall. If I’m smart, I’ve stashed some away from a sale the year before. Although I tend to burn them daily and this rarely happens. Instead I end up buying them each new season. The one I’m obsessed with this year and will most likely use going forward can be found here*. I’ve already burned almost all of my first one and had to buy a 2nd. It’s honestly my go to item for fall.
Bath Bombs
I’m always amazed at home many ways there are to enjoy pumpkin. One of my more recent loves has been bath bombs. I love when the weather finally cools down enough that taking a relaxing bath is enjoyable. Light a candle, pop on some Youtube, throw in your pumpkin bath bomb and you’re ready to go. Seriously, I would do this nightly if I could. But be wary because not all cute looking pumpkin bath bombs are made the same. I made that mistake for the both of use the other day and it smelled terrible. However I can recommend this lovely, sparkly one from lush.
Face Masks
If you read my post on beauty bits worth the hype last week, this mask will be a familiar favorite. Peter Thomas Roth’s Pumpkin Enzyme Mask* is easily my favorite pumpkin mask is you’re looking to buy one. I’ve even seen a few videos with the homemade version. After you finish craving your epic front porch pumpkin, you can always make a quick homemade mask to enjoy. Who says you can’t enjoy your pumpkin and having glowing skin at the same time?
Cookie Cutters
Lastly, even if you aren’t eating the pumpkin spice, there’s no reason you can’t enjoy a cookie shaped like a pumpkin. Or a snack bar shaped like one. I’m sure there are lots of things you could shape with a pumpkin cookie cutter. Personally, I’m a major fan of the brass/copper looking ones. They just scream fall to me. And if you’re looking for a recipe to use with them, I’d highly recommend this one fromĀ Minimalist Baker.
So whether you’re a diehard pumpkin spice gal or just want to incorporate pumpkin into all the areas of your life, I hope this inspires you to get into the fall spirit. I can’t believe how close we are to November already. Bring on the pumpkin pie candles!
