How To Staycation Better This Summer With Resortpass

Categories All Travel

As a girl who lives at the beach, I rarely go to the beach. Loading up the car with all the bags, the snacks, the umbrella, so I don’t turn into a lobster, etc. It’s a lot to ask (even more so as a solo girly). But thankfully, I recently discovered Resortpass, and I’m excited to tell you all about my experience today because, quite frankly, I wish I’d known sooner.

What Is Resortpass?

Resortpass is an app/website that allows you to book pool services and spa services via your local resorts and affiliated establishments. Services available will vary depending on your current location. But as a Panama City Beach local, I was pleasantly surprised by just how many resorts were on the app and how affordable it is.

What Can You Book With Resortpass?

If you’re in a larger city like Atlanta, you may find a balance between spa days and pool passes with varying amenities as well. For the Panama City Beach local, you have the option of mostly pool passes, full cabana rentals, and even day rooms perfect for a large group or party.

Many of these bookings come with additional perks like valet parking, gym access, poolside food service, as well as towel service. During my recent trial of the Henderson Beach Resort, I had all of the above. My job was simply to pack what I needed for the day, show up, and relax.

What Are The Benefits Of Using Resortpass?

I shared my experience using Resortpass in my most recent vlog but for me, it’s really all about the concept of embracing ease. During my recent trip to Atlanta, I recognized that I struggle when it comes to fully relaxing without putting myself in situations where it’s my only job to relax.

And as a single gal, it takes a lot to gather everything I need for just me to be at the beach.

When your only job is to book the day and then show up, it’s so much easier to feel like you’re mentally giving yourself space.

However, it’s also great for groups!

As someone who loves a day with her girlfriends, I love that we can book a cabana or a day room and just show up. It’s especially nice given the number of friends who have summer birthdays in our group. Plus, I’m a girl who wants an air conditioned bathroom, so I’ll consider that an added bonus.

Can You Use Resortpass For Beach Access?

From what I’ve seen of the local resorts partnered with the app, most don’t offer beach access with the pass.

How Expensive Is It To Book With Resortpass?

I’ve seen passes for as cheap as $25 per person. So I’d say it’s relatively affordable.

Would I Use It Again?

100%. During my recent staycation, I ended up running into a personal situation that meant I needed to cancel the day of because I couldn’t get out of my house.

I was WELL past the cancellation window. But I reached out to ask if they could possibly reschedule my pass for the next day because I was so excited.

Most of Resortpass’s customer service team is via messenger/email, from what I gathered. And I was a bit nervous because I had signed up with the hidden Apple email feature, but used my work email for confirmation. I didn’t know if they would be able to track everything or if they would even respond within the day I booked because I cancelled at 11 am.

They do send you an auto email to let you know that they get a lot of messages, but handle them in priority order and not to double up because it can impact when you get service.

But I sent my message off, hoping for the best. And they reached out that night, totally understanding and rescheduled me for the next day.

I had zero issues checking in. The staff at the resort was lovely. It’s truly one of the easiest days I’ve given myself in I don’t know how long. And I can’t stop recommending it.

Seriously, I think this is the 5th piece of content I’ve created just so I can chat.

Btw, I paid for this myself. So, if you’re thinking you need a break and want a totally easy day, I’d highly suggest checking out Resortpass. For my full experience, you can check out this week’s vlog. If you’d like more content like this, make sure you’re subscibed to the newsletter. Until next time. Xoxo, Savvy
