I say this every month but I can’t believe that it’s over already. March has been busy in the best way. I’ve done lots of traveling, spent time with friends and rediscovered a few favorites. And in true favorites tradition, there is everything from film to skincare on the list this month. Let’s chat about my March favorites.
Mrs. Meyer’s Peony Scent Multi-Surface Cleaner*
I love peony. It’s one of my favorite scents for candles and perfumes*. So when I spotted this non-toxic cleaner at Target recently, I had to have it. I love that it does a great job at cleaning without all the harsh chemical smells. I used it to clean my shower earlier this month and was pleasantly surprised. Mrs. Meyer’s makes some of my favorite multi-surface cleaners but I’m super excited to have this scent in my life.
NEW ROOM COLOR
Since being back at my parents, I’ve been struggling to define my spaces. I work from home while also being their full time care taker. I’ve mentioned before I’m a spacial person and really thrive on my environments. And I didn’t realize just how much more inspired I would be from a change of color. I’m still in the process of getting everything to finish off the room and I’ll do a video when it’s done. But for now, I’m loving my new light grey walls.
FIVE DAUGHTER’S BAKERY
Recently, I’ve been spending a decent amount of time in Seaside and Alys Beach (see the vlog below). But on an adventure with Alaina, I discovered that there is a new food truck in Seaside that sells paleo & vegan donuts. I’ve been opting for the paleo donuts and they are amazing. There are a few flavors that seem to rotate through their menu. But if you’re looking for a sweet treat next time you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend checking them out.
NOLI SOUTH KOMBUCHA
I love a good kombucha in the afternoon. It’s one of my favorite drinks. So when I finally tried one of the kombuchas made locally, I know it was going to be in my March favorites immediately. They have several options but the lavendar and blueberry are my favorites. If you’re in the 30A area, I’d highly recommend giving them a try.
TREASURE & BOND SANNIBEL PLATFORM WEDGE SANDAL*
These have been in my Nordstrom cart for a while but I just kept putting them off. I’d planned several outfits in my head with them. I knew I’d love them but something always seemed to get prioritized over these wedges. But I finally caved last weekend and snagged them on my trip to Atlanta. They are the perfect brown color and pair well with everything. Plus, they make my legs look longer and that’s always a win. I’ve gotten quite a few complements on them. If you’re looking to invest in a good pair of brown wedges, I’d highly recommend checking these out.
ARTISANA HAZELNUT CACAO SPREAD*
I’ve developed a serious habit of finding foods out of town that I can’t get close to me. It’s a problem. But it doesn’t change my love for this nutella alternative. I recently found this on a Whole Foods trip and I needed it in my life. And between myself and my family, the jar is already gone. If you’re looking for something like Nutella without the milk and refined sugar, this is your winner. This honestly was one of the easiest and most quickly found on the March favorites list. Now, I just need to get my hands on another jar. Hmmm.
NARS NATURALLY RADIANT LONGWEAR FOUNDATION*
I feel like everyone has raved about this foundation. And it’s honestly taken me some time to really find my groove with it. But I’ve been wearing it consistently when I opt for heavier foundation lately, and it’s become my favorite. I bought a shade too dark so I mix it with one pump of a lighter foundation. It sits well on my skin and pair with my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow*, gives my skin a gorgeous natural glow. I will say, I don’t always love it when my skin is acting up. However, thanks to my next favorites, I’ve been really enjoying a healthy skin glow look lately.
MAY LINDSTROM SKINCARE*
There’s probably a full blog post coming in the future on this but investing in skincare has been a top priority for me lately. I’m really trying to hone in on the right products with good ingredients that are worth it to me. And after listening to Caroline Hiron’s video and seeing several others talk about the amazingness of May’s products, I knew I needed to give it a go. They are pricey. I won’t hide that part. But so far my choice to splurge on her skincare has done wonders for my skin. I’ve added two products in my routine: the youth dew* & blue coccoon*. And other than the problem solver, I don’t see myself investing any more for now. However, I will say if you’re looking for products that work and don’t have all the harsh chemical, I’d check out Caroline’s video and consider giving May Lindstrom skincare a go.
FAVORITE TV SHOW: THE MAGICIANS*
Somehow, I always forget what day of the week this show comes on. It’s like this little gift on my DVR every week when I remember. I binged watched the first season last year before the second aired. And I’ve recently been rewatching seasons 1 & 2 while keeping up with season 3. So it was the obvious choice for my March favorites list for favorite tv show. I’m always amazed at how well the story progresses with so many characters. Also, the amount of things they’ve covered in just 3 seasons makes the show feel like it’s even longer. The first two seasons are on Netflix and the season three finale airs this week. If you’re a fan of Charmed or Game of Thrones, you’ll like this one.
FAVORITE YOUTUBE DISCOVERY: ALLANA DAVISON
This one isn’t necessarily new but more of a recent binge watch. I’ve followed Allana for a months now thanks to suggestions from other Youtube faves. Her make up and hair styles are quite similar to mine. And I also just love her sense of humor. If you’re looking for someone new to follow, definitely be sure to check her out.
And that is the official list of March favorites. I have a few recent discoveries I’m testing and loving so far so you might see them next month. But for now, be sure to check out this week’s video. Also, I’d love to know what you’re loving this month. Be sure to leave me a comment below and let me know!
