Where oh where does the time go? It always feels like I just rounded up my list of monthly favorites. But alas, here we are again. February has been a month of discovery. I’ve added a new favorite show to the list, tried a few new foods and even added a new workout in my week. So there’s a lot of to be shared as far as February favorites go.
Suits*
I honestly don’t know what took me so long to watch this show. But oh my goodness it’s my new favorite. Someone asked me to describe it the other day and I failed epically. But if you’re into witty shows or fancy seeing some seriously kick butt women on your screen, check it out. The first few seasons are on amazon prime*. From the wardrobe to the sets, Suits has won over my heart. If you loved Gilmore Girls or like any other USA shows, I’d highly recommend checking this out.
Amika Dry Shampoo*
I’ve officially become the girl with a million dry shampoos. Seriously, it’s a thing. And I plan on writing a post of them soon but the Amika one snuck it’s way into my collection this month. It’s a bit of a heftier dry shampoo than others I’ve used. It’s got more grit to it so you’ll notice it’s there. But it’s awesome at absorbing oil and giving volume to slumped hair. I’ve tried a few Amika products and the quality is always amazing. And this dry shampoo is no exception.
NARS Wanted Palette*
Every time I think I’m done buying eyeshadow palettes, I find another one I just NEED. I mean, doesn’t everyone feel this way? I typically ignore a lot of hyped products unless it’s just so in my face I can’t. This palette from NARS felt like one of those items. And for a good reason. I know there have been a ton of burgundy/orange palettes in the last year. But I actually use this one for my basic brown eye and fancier/more colorful options. The quality on the shadows is amazing. And it’s perfect for travel which always wins me over. If you’re contemplating splurging on a palette soon, I’d definitely recommend checking this one out.
NEST Bamboo Candle*
We have what I like to consider a candle stash in our house. When we see them on sale or find one we really like, into the stash it goes for later use. And since we are in this odd transitional season, I went hunting for a new semi-floral candle to fit my bedroom. Honestly, I don’t know how I haven’t tried this one before. It gives off a floral scent but it makes everything smell amazing. It’s not too perfume-y. And it does a great job at filling a room even if it’s not burning. I’m super happy about having this in my February favorites and I imagine it will be sticking around for a while.
Watermelon Sparkling Water
I LOVE watermelon. I mean I’m also a strawberry girl but I really love watermelon. Recently, I’ve seen more watermelon flavored sparkling waters floating around and I’m not complaining. I grabbed one at our local market but there seem to be a few brands putting them out now. It’s perfect for a lite refreshing drink without all the sugar. If you’re into sparkling water or watermelon, you need this in your life.
Nine West Tatiana Pump*
Along with my watermelon kick, I’ve also been on a shoe one. Mostly, I’m trying to fill in the gaps in my wardrobe with the season change. I own quite a few pairs of wedges but these heels from Nine West caught my eye. They are a gorgeous neutral shade that really work with everything. I wear heels quite a bit so I don’t find them uncomfortable. And the heel height isn’t too bad. Plus, they are a reasonable price. I have a few weddings coming up this year so these will work well as a good option. But they are also amazing with jeans and white tee.
GoMacro Peanut Butter Bars*
Another random but tasty choice in my February favorites. I try to shy away from eating a lot of bars. But there are always a few days a week that I know I’ll be running out the door before I’m hungry or just need a back up option. I snagged a box of these last month and consumed them quickly. I’ve tried a few flavors from GoMacro but so far peanut butter is my favorite. They are gluten, soy & refined-sugar free.
Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara*
Despite my everlasting love for YSL mascara, I decided to branch out this month. I’ve heard Allana raving about this one and decided to give it a go. I love that it adds both volume and length to my lashes. And considering I normally use a few mascaras at a time, I find it impressive that I’ve only been using one. The wand has a great bristle set up that really helps to separate your lashes out but also adds volume. If you’re looking for a one stop mascara option, this is definitely one to check out.
Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay*
This mask has been my skin savior this month. It’s the perfect mix of clay and scrub. And it’s been great at helping with any hormonal spots that have popped up. I honestly haven’t fallen in love with a mask in a while. It doesn’t overly dry out my skin but helps make everything smooth. I can definitely see this one staying in my skincare rotation for a while.
Whew. I think that’s it. I’ve discovered so many things this month and I’m hoping you’ll enjoy them too. I’d love to know what’s on your February favorites list. Leave me a comment below and let me know!
