I used to be ALL about the side hustle life. I wanted to be busy. Because in my mind, busy meant I was successful. Busy meant I was worthy. Busy was a budge of honor I toted around like a 5 year old with her princess tiara. If I wasn’t busy, I wasn’t worthy. . . Or at least that was the lie I told myself.

And then it all kind of came crashing down. I spent 3 years being busy, trying to grow a business, taking care of everyone else, running away from my problems and I realized that my side hustle wasn’t really adding to my life. It was taking away.

If you show up and tell me, I want to create this life for myself. Savvy, I know what I want to do and the life I want to create. And all these extra hours I’m working are going to get me THAT LIFE. I’m here for you. I know what it looks like to create a “side hustle” that gets you the life that you want. I’ve gone after the thing, lost all the sleep, worked for free and made it happen. It was well worth it.

But if you’re showing up to the party wanting to make all the money, chase the dream of the influencer life and have a million instagram followers because you think it will make you worthy, then today’s episode is for you. Ya’ll if someone had told me this years ago, I wouldn’t have believed them because I’m stubborn and need to learn it the hard way. That number on instagram means nothing. And in today’s episode I’m sharing EXACTLY how much money from the gram I make.

My hope is that as you dive into today’s episode you are reminded that the perfection of instagram is only a small scope of the world. Just because everyone and their sister is chasing the side hustle life doesn’t mean it’s right for you. It doesn’t mean it’s right for me either.
