Fall is my favorite time of year. Maybe it’s the changing of leaves *which doesn’t really happen in Florida but ya know, let’s pretend*. Or maybe it’s the cooler weather. I just love the idea of getting cozy under a big blanket and enjoying all of my pumpkin scented things. It brings me joy!
It wasn’t until the past few years that I’ve ever found myself seasonally switching up my makeup. But I’m so excited to share everything in my fall clean makeup bag. There are so many amazing products I’ve recently discovered along with a few that never seem to leave *cough Kjaer Weis powder cough*. Let’s chat all the things I’m loving this fall!
THE CLASSICS
Before we dive into the new, I thought I’d do a round up of the classics. There are a few products that have held strong that I’ve still using.
Honest’s Everyday Glow Primer* – With the dryer weather, my skin as been loving this primer. It add a bit of moisture and shine without being too much.
Plume Brow Pomade* – still going strong & still well loved
Kjaer Weis Translucent Powder* – recently repurchased and still loving for my under eye
RMS Uncover Up* – used as a classic under concealer
Fitglow Concealer* – one of my favorites for concealing any spots without tons of products; gets the job done
Foundation
In the last few months, RMS Beauty decided to launch a foundation* that pairs perfectly with their concealer*. And it’s safe to say, I’m in love. A little disclaimer, I took the new Vapour velvet foundation to Paris with me when today’s photos were shot. It hasn’t quite found the love I’d hoped it would in my life. But the RMS foundation* is dewy base I can’t get enough of. I feel like it just gives you that glow. 10/10 recommend it as something to add into your fall clean makeup bag.
CONTOUR
I was in a wedding in September, slowly working on my 27 dresses over here. With the chaos of everything going on that month, I managed to forget my contour stick. Vapour’s foundation stick in 135* has been a staple in my makeup bag for a while now. Instead of repurchasing it, I seized the opportunity to try something new. Now my pick at the time wasn’t clean, however, it did lead me to discover the one I’ve been obsessing over recently, Westman Atelier in Biscuit*. So it all worked out in the end!
I love the subtly of biscuit. It’s not too intense so it’s definitely a bit more beginner friendly. And of course, the packaging is VERY lush. The magnet lid makes me smile when it clicks into place. It’s the little things. Paired with my Vapour Beauty bronzer*, it’s been giving me the JLo contour goals I’m always striving to achieve. Because who doesn’t love JLo’s glow?
Highlight & Blush
I often find I’m not the most adventurous with my highlighter & blush. So I’m incredibly happy to share that there are two new additions to my fall clean makeup bag. For highlighter, I can’t get enough of Edward Bess’ marbleized rose gold highlighting powder*. There’s just something about the shimmers mixed with gold that mesmerizes me. Seriously, I swatched it on my hand before a nail appointment and spent 2 hours just admiring the glow.
My blush choice is a VERY recent discovery. Also, it came from the online version of the Sephora checkout line. Like I don’t NEED to buy this but oh it’s pretty and YES I OWN YOU NOW. Ya know? Anyways, it’s a budget friendly blush find that gives me just the right amount of pink flush on my cheeks. Thank you Han pressed blush in baby pink*. I may not have known I needed you but Credo Beauty* kindly showed me the way.
EYEshadow
Now, did we seriously think I was going to go through a fall clean makeup bag post and not mention Aether Beauty. Let’s be honest. They basically pop up in all my makeup posts. I just love them so much. Did I need another eye shadow palette in my collection? No, probably not. Did I justify it by saying I was taking one for the team while knowing full well I would have bought it anyways? You bet I did!
The Amethyst Crystal Gemstone Palette* is my current Aether obsession and as always, it’s worthy of its place. Aether Beauty does a killer job with their shadows. And this one is packed with so many gorgeous shimmers that I can’t stop wearing.
MASCARA & LINER
Mascara wise, I will forever rock my trio just with a few adjustments: lashfood’s conditioning primer* (still loving & repurchased), ilia limitless mascara* (the wand is AMAZING for getting the lower lash line) and lily lolo’s big lash mascara* (a kind gift from someone who saw I loved their other mascara & definitely one to try).
I wasn’t sure if I would ever find a clean eye liner I liked. Thankfully, Ilia launched a felt tipped liner* I’m beyond obsessed with using. It’s incredibly precise, holds up SO well (you can see proof in my Bridesmaid’s Makeup Bag video*) and it’s so easy to use. I’d tried so many at this point that I’d almost given up. Thank you Ilia for restoring hope of doing my eye makeup like Christina Aguilera in Burlesque because her liner was epic.
LIPS
Lip wise my staples have all stayed in rotation within my fall clean makeup bag. I tend to bounce through a few classic colors regularly: nude, red & wine-ish. For nude, it’s almost always Kosas’s lipstick in Rosewater*. My red pick of choice these days has been the Gabriel Lip Liner in Red* with Kosas’s lipstick in Electra*. And my burgundy/wine color of choice is the Zuzu lip pencil in Port paired* with either the Fitglow Lip gloss in Ever* or Kosas’s lipstick in Violet Fury*.
All in all, I’m super happy with my fall clean makeup bag. It’s been nice to really par down the staples but find space to add new things into my collection. I love some of them so much they’ve also made it onto the clean beauty gift guides (under $50 & under $100).
But I’d love to hear from you! What are you using and loving this fall? Any specific products that have fallen into your fall clean makeup bag that you can’t get enough of. Let me know in the comments blow. And feel free to share this with someone you think would love it! Until next time. Xoxo, Savvy
